Privacy Policy
App: Math Kingdom
Developer: Forebear Productions
Effective date: 20 August 2026
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Math Kingdom (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App.
Math Kingdom is a children’s educational app. We designed the App to store most learning data locally on the device. The App also displays advertisements through Google AdMob.
If you are a parent or guardian, please read this policy carefully.
1. Summary
| Topic | What we do |
|---|---|
| Account required | No |
| Data stored on our servers | No (current version) |
| Learning progress | Stored locally on the device |
| Advertising | Yes — Google AdMob (banner and full-screen ads) |
| Ads for children | Configured as child-directed; we request child-appropriate ad treatment |
| Analytics / crash reporting | Not enabled in the current version |
| Selling personal information | We do not sell personal information |
2. Information Stored Locally on the Device
The App may store the following information only on the user’s device using local storage:
- Child profile information — profile name and avatar selection
- Learning progress — stars, streaks, module completion, rewards, and kingdom progress
- Parental controls — a hashed parent PIN (not stored in plain text)
- App settings — language preference, audio settings, and onboarding completion state
- Temporary app files — files needed for audio playback or other on-device functions
The App does not require account creation and does not ask children to submit:
- email addresses
- phone numbers
- precise location
- contacts
- photos, camera recordings, or microphone recordings
3. Information Collected by Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect or receive certain information from the device, such as:
- Advertising identifier (where available and permitted on the device)
- Device information — device type, operating system version, language, and general region
- Ad interaction data — such as ad impressions and clicks
- IP address (which may be used to infer approximate location)
We configure the App to treat the experience as child-directed and request settings intended for apps used by children, including:
- child-directed treatment
- under-age-of-consent treatment
- a general-audience (G) maximum ad content rating
Even with these settings, Google, as the ad provider, processes some device and ad-related data according to Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Advertising Policies.
We do not receive your child’s name, learning answers, or profile content from AdMob.

4. How We Use Information
We use locally stored information to:
- save a child’s learning progress and unlocked content
- remember app settings and onboarding state
- support parental access controls
- provide the App’s educational features and game-like experience
Advertising is used to support the free version of the App.
5. Data Sharing
5.1 Information we share
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not operate our own backend servers in the current version to collect child profile or learning data.
- Advertising data may be processed by Google LLC (AdMob) when ads are displayed, as described in Section 3.
5.2 Information we do not share from our own storage
Based on the current App implementation, profile names, learning progress, and parent PIN hashes stored locally on the device are not transmitted to Forebear Productions’ servers.
6. Children’s Privacy
Math Kingdom is designed for young learners. We aim to limit data collection to what is needed for the App to function and to support a free, ad-supported experience.
- We do not knowingly collect online contact information from children through the App.
- We do not require children to create accounts.
- We configure ad requests for child-directed treatment.
- Parents can use parental controls (parent PIN) to restrict access to certain areas such as settings and the parent dashboard.
Parents and guardians may contact us with questions or requests regarding their child’s use of the App (see Section 11).
This App is published on app stores that require privacy disclosures for children’s apps. For general information about children’s online privacy in the United States, see the FTC’s COPPA FAQ.
7. Device Permissions and Ad Settings
- The App requires internet access to load advertisements and support features that need connectivity.
- Ad delivery may use a device advertising identifier, subject to Google’s policies and your device settings.
- You can usually limit or reset ad personalization through your device privacy or advertising settings (wording and location of these settings may vary by device).
We do not use a separate in-app tracking prompt from Forebear Productions in the current version; however, the ad provider may still process data needed to serve ads as described by Google.
8. Third-Party Libraries and SDKs
The App includes third-party software used for core functionality, including:
| Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|
| Local storage | on-device database and preferences |
| Audio | playback and text-to-speech |
| User interface & animations | graphics and animation libraries |
| Localization | language support |
| Video | splash and onboarding media |
| Advertising | Google AdMob |
The current version does not include analytics or crash-reporting services operated by Forebear Productions.
If we add new online services (such as cloud sync, sign-in, subscriptions, analytics, or crash reporting), we will update this Privacy Policy before those features are enabled in production.
9. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
- Local app data remains on the device until you clear app storage, reset progress in the App, or uninstall the App.
- Temporary files created during normal App use may be removed automatically by the operating system or when the App no longer needs them.
- We do not retain copies of locally stored child progress on our own servers in the current version.
To delete local data: uninstall the App or clear its storage in your device settings.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures within the App’s local architecture to protect stored information. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
The parent PIN is stored in hashed form on the device. This helps avoid storing the plain PIN directly, but it should not be considered bank-grade security.
11. International Users
The App may be available in multiple countries. Local privacy laws (including GDPR in the European Economic Area and UK GDPR) may give users or parents additional rights.
Because ads are provided by Google, Google may process data according to its own legal bases and policies. In some regions, Google may present its own consent or messaging tools where required.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective date and Last updated date above and publish the revised policy on our official policy page and/or in our app store listing as required.
Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.

14. App Store Data Disclosures (Reference for Parents)
For transparency, the current App version generally aligns with the following disclosures:
- Data collected by Forebear Productions: minimal; mostly local-only app data as described in Section 2
- Data collected/shared for advertising: device/ad identifiers and related ad delivery data via Google AdMob
- Purpose: app functionality (local progress) and advertising
- Encryption in transit: yes, for network communications such as ad requests
- Account deletion: not applicable — no Forebear account is required
Please refer to the app store listing’s Data safety or Privacy section for the most current declarations.
This policy applies to Math Kingdom versions that include advertising support.
